Every Marketing Move Hailey Bieber’s “Rhode” Skincare should make

Hailey Bieber is the glowy and perfect skin queen. So, when I heard about Rhode, I got super excited. For those who don’t follow Hailey’s every move, Rhode is Hailey's middle name and upcoming skincare company. There is an Instagram account for the brand (@rhode) with no bio or posts but has close to 70k followers. Up until very recently, there has been no word from Hailey about the brand. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Hailey said that the skincare line will launch sometime in 2022 and that she has been working on perfecting it for a few years. Eeeek! As Hailey preps to launch, I couldn’t help but come up with my own marketing ideas for Rhode. Here they are:

  1. Before announcing anything about a launch date, items, etc. Hailey should continue posting glam photos. Hailey is a pretty influential figure herself. I for one would buy anything to make my skin look like hers.

  2. Hailey has a series on her youtube channel called “Who’s In My Bathroom?” where she has famous guests do an interview while doing a bizarre activity (in her bathroom). I propose a new series: “CrossRhodes.” In the few months leading up to the launch, Hailey should have her A-list guests bring their skincare and switch with her. She would go through what is good and bad about their routine while they try out her products.

  3. A week before launch, Hailey should go through the whole Rhode routine as a standalone youtube video called RhodeMap.

  4. Justin Bieber has shown appreciation for Hailey's extensive skincare knowledge in the past. He should be one of the “CrossRhodes” guests and sell a mini set of the line either on Drew House (where there is limited edition packaging) or on his upcoming Justice World Tour.

  5. Leading up to the launch, Hailey should feature “Rhodies” on her Instagram page. Before launch, this would either be her A-list friends or other influencers that have received her skincare line and are vouching for it. After launch “Rhodies” would be anyone who posts a selfie, glam shot, or a before and after picture that the Rhode Instagram account would repost. “Rhodies” could also be on TikTok.

  6. During the launch, Hailey should have various Rhode trucks, food-truck-style, where products are available to buy. The trucks would be in LA, NYC, and other major cities. On the back of the truck, there should be a decal that says “On the Rhode.”

  7. I might be overusing the play on words at this point, but one more! Hailey could have a pop-up shop on Rodeo in LA and have all the branding in the shop be “Rhodeo Drive.”

And there it is! Every marketing move I would make if I was on the Rhode team. I cannot wait till launch to not only buy everything but to see what Hailey and her team do to create buzz!
